Flight Deck Automation

There is a need to deliver high-quality training outcomes for an increasing number of pilots and trainees with limited resources available. This necessitates the identification of the various flight deck scenarios in order to evaluate the pilot’s activity or to avoid accidents. When a pilot flies a sortie, the flight manoeuvres are to be measured and evaluated to test its’ limits. IVA adopts data-driven diagnosis to automatically analyze the details of flight manoeuvres generating its trend by the incorporation of machine learning methods to analyze pilot trainees’ activities, and to provide feedback on their performance by processing hundreds of different parameters available on flight simulators. This is performed for the training and education of future pilots with increasing application to improve air safety.

Pattern Recognition of Flight Manuevers

Implementation of ML models can assist the instructor to assess the flying skills of students. It also helps in the timely generation of reports on student pilot performance. Moreover, it can help in the optimization of the instructor-student relationship. The sample flight data from fighter jet sorties are analyzed for the purpose of manuevre study which is influenced by various parameters like indicated Air Speed, Altitude, Pitch, Roll, Heading angles, angular rates and control surface deflection. For the initial study, a single manoeuvre and its characteristics are determined, and a pattern recognition method based upon characteristic matching is adopted for automatic identification for the test sorties.

Civet-Optic - Data Lake for Flight Test Lab

A centralised data storage system to efficiently track data, access and record for advanced data analytics. It consists of a single server-side device and one or more client-side devices. This would provide a ready-to-use data lake that can be set up and used quickly and easily. These types of ready-to-deploy systems can provide a fast and easy way for organizations to set up a data lake, with minimal upfront costs and reduced need for specialized knowledge and expertise. This ready-to-deploy device is reinventing regular operations as one of the first full solutions to increase situational awareness, decrease human error, increase operator efficiency, and reduce safety hazards. Civet-Optic comes with all the necessary hardware and software necessary for an entry level data lake system.

The Indian Defence Research Development Organization, one of our principal clients, and IVA have been collaborating closely to handle theoretically challenging and cross-disciplinary challenges in the areas of signal processing, computer vision, and machine learning

IVA is a business that specializes in providing engineering software solutions and services that assist in the automation of industries through the use of Digital Twin technology, which produces virtual replicas of physical systems. Digitalization also places an emphasis on helping businesses with the integration, aggregation, and analysis of enormous amounts of data from numerous sources, including industrial IoT sensors.

Our team's primary areas of expertise are machine learning and signal processing, and the study is focused on creating an entirely automatic data analysis system. One of the essential things that set us apart from the competition is our great R&D team, which has experienced fellows in the field and expertise in signal processing, pattern recognition, and computer vision. IVA has strong partnerships with prestigious universities like the Indian Institute of Technology to maintain its technological edge and domain expertise. These partnerships enable IVA to handle high-frequency data competently using ensemble modeling, no-code hyperparameter tuning, and domain expertise in aviation gas turbine engine systems and subsystems.

The Indian Defence Research Development Organization, one of our principal clients, and IVA have been collaborating closely to handle theoretically challenging and cross-disciplinary challenges in the areas of signal processing, computer vision, and machine learning.

We appreciate our own no-code interactive platform, DataCivet, which enables rapid ML pipeline development with signal processing and machine learning toolbox support. DataCivet enables us to assist our clients in the development of digital twins for process automation and diagnostic and prognostic analysis. IVA's virtual sensor is an out-of-the-box solution for addressing many sensor failure issues in industries including aerospace, oil, gas, etc.
